Pinterest is changing my life!

Thank you so much to Molly for introducing me to Pinterest. I love it so so much. What is Pinterest?
From the website: Pinterest is a virtual pinboard
Pinterest lets you organize and share all the beautiful things you find on the web. People use pinboards to plan their weddings, decorate their homes, and organize their favorite recipes.

Best of all, you can browse pinboards created by other people. Browsing pinboards is a fun way to discover new things and get inspiration from people who share your interests. To get started you have to ask for an invite but it is so worth it.

I am finding recipes, clothes, gardening tips, EVERYTHING. I am so obsessed!

I AM SORRY

Anguilla- the last untouched island?

Filed under: Uncategorized — iamstepher @ 11:49 pm

When Andy told me we were going to Anguilla for our honeymoon (20 minutes before we landed in St. Maartin) I didn’t know what to think because I had never heard of it. I wasn’t sure how Andy was able to keep our honeymoon destination from me for so long but now I am realizing it’s probably because a lot of people have never heard of it.

Anguilla has been getting a ton of press lately because one of the beaches here was recently voted one of the top 5 beaches in the world. Coming from Cancun, I had pretty high expectations and I have not been let down. The beaches here are perfect. Everything you would hope for, white sand (some of the beaches are a beautiful pink coral because of all the coral deposits) blue water and great scuba diving. The most incredible thing about the island is that it is totally untouched. There is virtually no economy here except restaurants and private villas. Our first three days we stayed at Rum Punch Villa which I think will probably always be the nicest place I have ever stayed or been in my entire life. We totally lucked out and got to stay there for free (long story but Andy is awesome). We are now staying at the Viceroy which is fantastic but so different from the rest of the island. More updates to come. I can’t believe we are leaving here so soon!

Can you guess what is not natural in this picture?

Filed under: Uncategorized — iamstepher @ 3:17 pm

Hint there are only 2 unnatural items and neither of them are my nose.

In preparation for the wedding, I decided to do a few fun things for myself. The first you might notice are the white feathers and the second is the fake eyelashes. First, I am shocked at the negative feedback people give when you do something different with yourself. If your friend gets their hair cut, don’t wait until after they cut it to tell them it was a horrible idea and you don’t like it. Would you walk up to someone at a party and tell them that you don’t like their outfit and you wish they wouldn’t have worn it? I hope not! So please don’t tell me that you don’t like my feathers, or you think its weird/cheesy/etc. because obviously, I like it. OK? OK!

Rant is over.

Now for the eyelashes. These are not just ordinary fake lashes. They are lash extensions and they are amazing! They are called Lash Extreme and although you have to sit through two hours of tedious gluing and blinking the results are worth it. They are usually applied at the spa and your stylist glues each lash (about 50 per eye) to your individual lashes. I have already had mine on for 3 weeks and they still look great. It’s $100 for the first time and about $50 each month for refills. I don’t know how I am going to go back to my thin stubby lashes after the wedding.

PS. The wedding planning is pretty much over and I feel stress free!! I can’t wait for Mexico!

Kate Middleton inspired nail polish? Yes!

Butter London has released a limited-edition shade called “No More Waity, Katie” – a nod to the nickname the tabloids gave Kate before William put a ring on it.

I actually really like the color. It might be great for my upcoming “No More Waity, Stepher” wedding!

Anthropologie wedding dresses!

Filed under: Uncategorized — iamstepher @ 10:54 pm

Yep! The line is called BHLDN and they launch February 14th, 2011. The line also promises to have stationary, veils and other wedding necessities.

If they could just get their registry figured out before my wedding I would be pretty excited. Not to sound too much like a pessimist but I am sure the dresses are going to be unbelievably overpriced. We shall see.

Polyvore is the best styling website EVER

Filed under: Uncategorized — iamstepher @ 11:00 pm

Have you ever bought a new pair of shoes or a top that you are super excited about and as soon as you get it home you realize you have no idea what you are going to wear it with? This happens to me all the time… I fall in love with something at the store and then later realize that I don’t have the slightest clue how to style it…. Que entry of Polyvore.com

With this website you can post a picture of whatever you like, shoes, bags, jeans, anything! and other people will tell you what to wear with it. Apparently people take this really seriously and you rank them based on their recommendation. You can also post pictures of things you are thinking about buying and put together a little collage of items from every online shop on the market. You have to try it.

I posted a picture of these yellow maryjanes and look what people put together for me…. Genius!

Fisher Price loves Jesus… and other Jews

Filed under: Uncategorized — iamstepher @ 3:10 pm

I have been on a mad hunt to find Christmas gifts for all of the children in my life. I think I hit the jackpot last night at the Fisher Price website. They are selling little Hanukkah and Nativity sets for kids 2 and up.

The Little People Hanukkah Play Set:
Celebrate the miracle and tradition of Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, with this special holiday play set featuring a light-up, musical menorah. Cook a holiday meal in the kitchen and gather the family around the dining room table. Light the menorah—the candles glow and it plays a Hanukkah tune! Requires three AA batteries.

The Little People Nativity Gift Set:
Three beautifully illustrated background scenes and six palm tree fence pieces let kids connect the desert journey of the wise men, the story of the inn at Bethlehem, and Jesus’ birth in a stable under the starry night sky. Place the angel atop the stable. The star lights up to guide the wise men from afar while the tune “Away in a Manger” plays for all who gather below.
