I Am Stepher

When Andy told me we were going to Anguilla for our honeymoon (20 minutes before we landed in St. Maartin) I didn’t know what to think because I had never heard of it. I wasn’t sure how Andy was able to keep our honeymoon destination from me for so long but now I am realizing it’s probably because a lot of people have never heard of it.

Anguilla has been getting a ton of press lately because one of the beaches here was recently voted one of the top 5 beaches in the world. Coming from Cancun, I had pretty high expectations and I have not been let down. The beaches here are perfect. Everything you would hope for, white sand (some of the beaches are a beautiful pink coral because of all the coral deposits) blue water and great scuba diving. The most incredible thing about the island is that it is totally untouched. There is virtually no economy here except restaurants and private villas. Our first three days we stayed at Rum Punch Villa which I think will probably always be the nicest place I have ever stayed or been in my entire life. We totally lucked out and got to stay there for free (long story but Andy is awesome). We are now staying at the Viceroy which is fantastic but so different from the rest of the island.
